FAQ
The quick answers. For every rule, see the rulebook.
What is the Peethan Challenger League?
A League of Legends in-house customs league. You register once, queue in Discord, and the bot builds two balanced teams of five, makes the voice channels, and tracks results on a live leaderboard.
How do I join?
Join the Discord, go to #pcl-register, and hit Register. Enter the Riot ID (Name#Tag) of your highest-ranked account and pick your main and secondary role from the dropdowns. That's it.
How does MMR work?
Everyone starts the season at 2000. A win is +50 and a loss is -50, with small bonuses for win streaks, fill games, underdog lanes, and underdog teams. The full breakdown is in the rulebook.
How are teams balanced?
On your peak solo/duo rank over the last 3 seasons. Your PCL MMR is just the scoreboard. The bot tries every possible role assignment and picks the fairest one that follows the role and lane rules. You count for less on roles you don't main, and it avoids big rank gaps in a lane.
What is the ready check?
When the queue pops, the bot DMs all 10 players and everyone has 3 minutes to hit Ready. If someone doesn't, they're dropped and everyone who readied goes back to the front of the queue.
What is a captain draft?
When a queue pops and everyone hits Ready, the 10 vote: captain draft or auto-balance. In a captain draft the two highest-MMR players pick the teams and roles on the website. Captain games pay win streak bonuses only.
Will I get my main role?
Usually. If you don't get your main one game, fill protection gives you top priority for it the next game. Below Plat IV you always get your main or secondary.
What if I register as Fill?
The bot can put you anywhere, and you get +5 extra on every win. Losses stay normal.
What is ARAM Mayhem?
Thursdays are ARAM Mayhem day: every match that day is ARAM Mayhem instead of Summoner's Rift (US Eastern time). No roles, just the most even teams.
Who reports the result?
Anyone in the match: /win if your team won, /lose if it lost. Only the first report counts. Remakes or dodges get /cancel. If a result is wrong, ping an admin.
Are there prizes?
Yes. See the prizes page for this season's payouts.
How do I report someone?
Press Report a player in #report-a-player in the Discord. You can attach screenshots or clips. Only admins see reports.
Can I play on a smurf?
No. Register your highest-ranked account (the one with your best rank). Smurfing makes you ineligible for prizes at the least and can get you banned, and any match with a smurf in it gets nulled (all MMR from it is undone for everyone). Have alts? Tell an admin so they're linked to you.
I'm unranked. Can I still play?
Yes. You'll be balanced like a high Silver player until you have a rank.
What happened to Season 1?
Season 1 was the Peethan Challenger Series. Its final standings and every match are archived: check the Season 1 leaderboard.
